At the Utah Wellness Institute, our goal is to help you live the happiest and healthiest life possible. With this goal in mind, we offer the following services:
Bio-identical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT)
Our primary service, this program deals with fatigue and stress issues arising from dysfunction of the thyroid and adrenal glands. In addition, the program includes analysis and replacement of male and female hormones, such as imbalances in estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone that lead to PMS, menopause, low sex drive, insomnia, polycystic ovaries, depression, menstrual difficulties, infertility, and other areas affected by low hormone levels.
The program begins by meeting with one of our clinicians to assess your overall health and discuss symptoms. You will be given a lab slip for a full panel of blood tests. The lab results allow us to determine if hormonal imbalances exist. After your blood draw, you will meet with Dr. Jones to review the results and develop a program to address your body’s specific needs.
If hormones are prescribed, we provide a list of local compounding pharmacies that can fill your prescriptions.
Most patients begin to feel results within the first week; it takes us 3-5 months to fully balance your hormones, and we monitor your levels for 12 months. One of the biggest benefits of a full hormone program is found in its anti-aging benefits.
This is for infants and children who have recurring ear infections to replace the common medical treatment of prescribing multiple rounds of antibiotics. This chiropractic procedure has been around for decades and is used to open the Eustachian tube to open and improve drainage of the middle ear.
When a child suffers from an ear ache, the Eustachian tube (connecting the ear to the throat) becomes inflamed and blocked with mucous. For young children suffering from ear aches, this 2-minute low-cost procedure can offer significant and immediate relief while often eliminating an Insta-Care visit and preventing the overuse of antibiotics.
This procedure can be used in lieu of antibiotics and tubes in ears.
Introducing ozone to the body in a controlled way has many health benefits; primarily, ozone helps fight bacterial and viral infections and helps reduce internal inflammation. Ozone also improves mitochondrial function to aid with chronic fatigue; the mitochondria is the energy-producing part of each cell in the body.
Most know that breathing ozone can be harmful to the lungs; however, through rectal insufflation (a catheter inserted rectally), ozone is absorbed quickly and easily through the colon wall. This procedure is simpler and much quicker than autohemotherapy, where a patient’s blood is removed, infused with ozone, and reinjected through an IV.
With rectal insufflation, an ozone generator uses pure oxygen to create ozone molecules that pass through a catheter directly into your colon. The procedure itself takes less than 5 minutes.
Named after Dr. John Myers, this holistic treatment consists of an intravenous infusion containing magnesium, multiple B vitamins, and high doses of Vitamin C to enhance the immune system, improve fatigue and migraine headaches, and reduce symptoms of allergies and asthma. One of our clinicians starts a simple intravenous drip in your arm, and you sit back and relax for 90 minutes while you’re filled with energy-producing vitamins and minerals.
Vitamin B12 Injections
Vitamin B12 is essential for energy and vitality, but oral vitamin B12 supplements are poorly absorbed by the body, if at all. The best way to introduce vitamin B12 to your body is through a quick injection; this can be done weekly or bi-weekly. The B12 is injected intramuscularly and, therefore, diffuses slowly over a 7-10 day period.
We can perform the injections in office, or we can provide basic instruction for self-injections at home.
Personal Nutritional Consulting
In a one-on-one setting and through a series of online instructional classes, our nutritionist provides individualized dietary counseling to aid in weight loss, to reduce the effects of chronic conditions such as diabetes and gluten intolerance, to improve overall wellness, and to teach principles to improve your diet. This is not diet, this is a dietary lifestyle.
